Manicure Monday - Half Moon Nails

This is a great simple & elegant manicure. It's so easy and cute! I did it back in the winter with silver and black for a more edgy look and it was fabulous. It looks great with almost any colors, so experiment and have fun with it!

Step 1: Paint your basecoat - this will be the color of the smaller portion of the nails.

Step 2: Using reinforcers (a basic school supply product that can be found at Staples, CVS, Walmart, Walgreens, etc.), block off the very bottom portion of the nail. As a guide, I took the reinforcer and positioned it so that the very bottom of the top half of the circle aligned with the bottom of my nail.

Step 3: Paint a coat of your other color from where the reinforcer ends to the top of the nail.

Step 4: Let the polish dry for a few seconds and blow on it a bit. Then gently peel off the reinforcer to reveal beautiful half moon nails!

I love this manicure because you can use different colors seasonally or to make the manicure more edgy, serious, or fun. For example, for a super summer manicure one would use neons, for Christmas one would use red and green, etc. I love this lilac and gold manicure because it is cute but professional!
